Pneumococcal vaccination; Implications for pulmonary tuberculosis case finding in children

A vaccine probe study should that the incidence of culture-confirmed TB in children admitted with pneumonia was significantly lower in the Pneumococcal conjugate vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated children.

This presentation will highlight the plausible relationship between pneumococcal disease and mycobacterium tuberculosis disease. It will also highlight the implications of pneumococcal conjugate vaccination on TB case finding in children.
